Private, on-device document intelligence

Your documents, understood.
Everything stays on your phone.

Catadoc reads what you scan and turns it into facts you can search, copy, and share. No folders. No cloud.

100% on-device No account needed Works in airplane mode

Scan it, or import it

Point the camera, or pull in photos you already have.

It's understood in seconds

People, amounts, dates. A profile, not a filename.

Ask for it like a person

"Bills under 2000." Your words become answers.

Understand

A profile, not a PDF.

Open a document and the facts are waiting, one tap from your clipboard:

  • Who and what: person, merchant, type, title
  • The numbers: amounts, invoice numbers, IDs
  • The dates: issued, due, expiry
  • Your languages: English, German, Hindi & more

You're the authority

Wrong? Fix it once.

No reader of paper is perfect, so Catadoc never pretends to be. Tap any fact and pick the right value straight from the scan. Your correction is final.

  • Fix from the scan: the right value is one tap away
  • Yours is sacred: corrections survive every re-read
  • It learns your shops: fix a receipt once, and the next one from that shop fills itself
  • Learning stays home: it never leaves your phone

Organizes itself

Filed for you. Grouped by you.

Documents sort themselves the moment they are understood: receipts by merchant, IDs by family member. When you want a shelf of your own, name one. A flat, a car, a tax year, holding whatever belongs to it.

  • Zero upkeep: no folders, ever
  • Your own groups: name one and add whatever belongs, whatever kind of document it is
  • Across types: a lease, its bills and its insurance in one place
  • Nothing is filed away: documents stay everywhere search can reach them

Find

Search the way you speak.

Ask the way you'd ask a person. Your words become visible filters, and every suggestion comes from your own library.

Share

One PDF, exactly the size they demand.

Embassy portals, landlords, HR: they all want one PDF under a size limit. No more "merge PDF online" sites.

  • Any documents, one PDF, your order
  • Any cap: 10 MB, 2 MB, or custom
  • Honest: warns before quality drops
  • Offline: IDs never touch a stranger's server

And the everyday things

Small features you'll use daily.

One-tap copy

Long-press a document: passport number, amount, ready to paste.

Favourites on top

The documents you reach for weekly stay pinned first.

Expiry warnings

Passports, policies, warranties: expiry dates surface 60 days early.

Scan-quality guardian

Blurry scans get flagged while the paper is still in your hand.

App lock

Face ID or fingerprint before your library opens.

Multi-page documents

Contracts stay together, page after page, as one PDF.

Protect

Privacy you don't have to take on faith.

Most scanner apps upload your documents to "understand" them. Catadoc understands on the phone, so they never travel.

Your documents can't be uploaded

The app's only network request is the feedback you choose to send. Nothing else, ever.

Encrypted at rest

Your library is keyed from the phone's secure keychain.

No account, no telemetry

Nothing to sign up for. Delete the app and everything is gone.

Where it earns its keep

Built for real paperwork moments.

Visa run

Passport + insurance, one PDF, under the portal's 2 MB cap.

Tax season

Invoices titled, totalled, and findable by "invoices from 2025".

Family IDs

Everyone's IDs grouped by person, with renewal warnings.

Warranty & returns

The receipt from 14 months ago, found by store name.

Straight answers

Questions you'd be right to ask.

Does Catadoc upload my documents anywhere?

No. Reading, search, and sharing all happen on your phone. The only thing the app ever sends is feedback, and only if you write some. Turn on airplane mode and use the app; that is the proof.

How is this different from CamScanner or Adobe Scan?

Those apps give you an image or a PDF, usually after a trip through their servers. Catadoc reads the document on the phone and keeps the useful parts: who it is from, what it cost, when it runs out. Your papers become something you can search, not just store.

What kinds of documents can it read?

Passports, invoices, receipts, contracts, insurance papers, bills. Everyday paperwork. Anything unusual still gets scanned and saved with its text; the app just extracts fewer facts from it.

Does it work offline?

Fully. Airplane mode changes nothing.

How do I get one PDF under 2 MB for a visa portal?

Pick the documents, set the cap (2 MB, 10 MB, or your own number) and share. Catadoc merges and compresses on the phone, and warns you before quality drops too far. No "compress PDF online" sites, no uploading your passport to a stranger's server.

What happens when it reads something wrong?

It will, sometimes, and it tells you when it is unsure instead of pretending. Tap the wrong value and pick the right one straight off the scan. Corrections stick, so the next receipt from the same shop arrives already fixed.

Do I need an account?

No. Nothing to sign up for, no password to forget. Delete the app and everything goes with it.

Is my library encrypted?

Yes. Encrypted at rest, with the key held in your phone's own secure keystore.

Which languages does it read?

English, German, Hindi and more.

Can I search by what's inside a document?

Type what you'd say out loud. "Bills under 2000." "Passport expiring soon." Catadoc turns that into filters you can see and remove one at a time.

Will it warn me before something expires?

Anything with an expiry date, a passport, a policy, a warranty, gets flagged on the front screen 60 days ahead. The app won't send you notifications; the warning is there when you open it.

What does Catadoc cost?

One payment, not a subscription. The trial is free for 3 days or 5 documents, whichever comes first, and the Play listing shows the price for your country. iOS comes later.
